PokerRoom is one of the largest poker rooms in the world, as well as one of the oldest. It offers a good variety of games, a decent sign up bonus of 100% up to $1000 which is very easy to clear and excellent promotions, such as WSOP and WPT qualifiers. The software is some of the best we have seen and it is even available in a non-download version for Linux and Mac Poker users. All in all, this is one of the best rooms on the internet. It may lack a sturdy sign up bonus and loyalty rewards, but quite soft competition, great tournaments, the software and all the traffic speaks for itself.

The lobby software is outstanding. Its super clean design is great and we like the green tones. There is also a special lobby chat function which can be used for asking questions to other members and more. There's also a great number of settings that increase our liking of this application. As for the table software, there is no doubt that this is the prettiest table of all. The characters, the lady with the big booty and the james bond look-a-like - it's all there! In addition, you are can view unique hand statistics and add color tags to your opponents to symbolize their game play. Unfortunately, the actual game experience is a bit slow at times. It's a great software bundle, but PokerRoom should work harder on the way it feels to play a hand. Last but not least, PokerRoom offers a mobile version of poker, fruit slots and black jack. It is downloadable directly to a large range of mobile phones.

PokerRoom attract up to 10,000 simultaneous players during peak hours. Approximately 70 % of the real money players will be found in tournaments. Most of the traffic is in Texas Hold'em. There has been a very positive traffic development in mid stake tables lately, too.

However, most of the action is in the regular single table (sit 'N' go) and multi table tournaments. You will find games ranging from $5 and all the way up to $100. In terms of variety, PokerRoom stays above the average but fails to deliver different fun mode games such as Turbo. As with most other rooms, Texas Hold'em holds more than 80% of the traffic. Besides the regular No Limit, Pot Limit and Fixed Limit games in Texas Hold'em and Omaha, you can always play 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo and Five Card Draw.

This network is most definitely not a fish tank, but you will be able to play many games against soft players in the low stakes and mid stakes.
