Summary (6.4)

Paradise Poker is the closest you can get to a tropical gambling paradise, without lifting your rear off your seat. It is widely considered as one of the best poker rooms in the world and belongs to one of the largest ones, too. Excellent software with only a couple of misses, large tournament traffic and a large number of game modes indicates that this is a very special poker room. Paradise houses a lot of talented players, but in return you have plenty of competition in low level games as well as the high stakes.
Software (7)

The Paradise Poker software is superb in almost every way. The graphics consist of animations, pleasant colors and that very exotic feeling. There are a couple of huge misses, however. For example, you cannot see the pot size and bets in numbers. It is not a big deal in slow games, but more of a constant itch. In turbo games, the itch turns into illness. We are also quite unsure about the dark contrasts in the poker room, but that's all about individual taste. Sound effects are adequate and table animations are smooth. The player notes and extensive hand statistics come as a big plus. We have not experienced any problems with the software. In fact, it's more advanced than most of its competitors, but so well-tweaked that any potential slow-down is neglectable.
Traffic (7)

Paradise Poker was founded in 1999. It has since then pointed the traffic upwards thanks to many of their unique promotions such as the Million Dollar Freeroll. Approximately 9,000 connected ring games and tournament players makes this one of the biggest rooms on the internet. Most of the action is in the Texas Hold'em rooms, but despite this, you will be able to play games at most stakes in any of the other game modes (Omaha, 7 Card Stud, etcetera). We enjoy the popular heads-up rooms in particular.
Tournaments (7)

Paradise Poker host cash game tournaments around the clock. The sit 'N' goes are very popular even at higher stakes, ranging from $300, down to $5. Unfortunately, you can only play Texas Hold'em No Limit, Fixed Limit, Omaha Hi/Lo and 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo. The big plus, however, is the sit 'N' go satellite section. In here, you can qualify to some major tournaments, ranging upp to $100,000. The multi table tournament section is very rich, if compared to most of the other poker networks. The usual game types are here, plus the satellite events to World Poker Tour, SKIP Masters, HOP Masters and more. The largest tournament on Paradise Poker, however, is the Million Dollar Freeroll.
Game Variety (8)

It is almost impossible to have it all, however, Paradise Poker has one of the most complete game packages in the industry. The poker network includes Texas Hold'em, No Limit, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo, 5 Stud, heads-up, Draw, Pineapple and Pineapple Hi/Lo. You will obviously find all the typical combinations, such as No Limit, Pot Limit, Fixed Limit and Turbo games.
Soft Competition (5)

The tables at Paradise Poker are not very beginner-friendly. The micro tables are an exception, but making good money at such levels is consuming too much time. The tables at $0.5/$1 and up are usually very tight and only a few players see the flop more than 35 % of the times. At low buy-in tournaments, this number is usually a bit higher, even at Paradise Poker.
Sign Up Bonus (6)

Normally it is only possible to get a 50% up to $100 sign up bonus on Paradise Poker, but we are happy to say that we are one of the very few online poker guides with their own special deal. If you use our
Paradise Poker bonus code you'll get a 100% up to $100 bonus instead of the standard deal!
Loyalty Rewards (0)

Paradise Poker is one of the few major rooms to not offer loyalty bonuses. Besides typical bonuses, there is no system rewarding the player.
Promotions (8)

Paradise Poker's flagship is the Million Dollar Freeroll. To qualify, you are required to win one of the many satellites. Your first attempt to do so is entirely free. Further attempts require 100 so called Million Points. To acquire these points, you must become a real money player and generate enough rake points. Besides the Million Dollar freeroll, Paradise Poker host a number of events, such as the Aussie Million and the Paradise Masters.

The e-mail support is top-notch and response times are often within one hour. Our tests revealed that Paradise Poker is one of the best in this particular area. There is no telephone support or any live chat help.
