Summary (4.2)

Fat Bet Poker was founded in 2006, and has since then become the largest of all Chartwell sites. Despite a rather low player traffic, there's always plenty of fishy action at low to medium stakes. In fact, our previous experience with Fat Bet Poker proves that this site holds some of the fishiest players on the internet. A generous €1500 bonus will make many players interested in joining, although we recommend high stake players to look elsewhere. Having said that, we don't want anyone to run away because of the relatively low score. It is in fact a promising site, only with a rather low traffic, which ultimately results in low promotions, too. If this is not an issue to you, check it out!
Software (8)

Fat Bet Poker is powered by Chartwell technology and also the largest of all sites in that network. The software is surprisingly simplistic, but lacks some features like resizable tables. The theme is very dark and lacks colors, but this is nonetheless an interesting choice and separation from most poker rooms. As for the lobby, there is little to complain about here; you can separate tables with stake filters and hide full tables. In 2008, Fat Bet Poker introduced a flash client which opens up gaming for Linux and Mac owners.
Traffic (5)

Fat Bet Poker, being the largest of all Chartwell sites, is relatively small if compared to industry leaders. The site will typically host 600 to 1000 players, and as expected, most of the players stick to low stake games. That does not exclude some high stake gambling, however. The network has action up to €50/€100 with some occasional play, but normally no higher than €20/€40.
Tournaments (5)

Sadly, most of the action is cash game oriented. Therefore, very little is offered in terms of tournament play. In fact, most tournaments don't go beyond €500 guaranteed. This may be sufficient for a low stake player, but a poker player with hopes for million dollar tournaments should look elsewhere.
Game Variety (7)

Granted, most of the action at Fat Bet Poker is in Texas Hold'em, but you will also find some action in Omaha, Stud Poker, 32 Card Poker, Amerikana and Telesina. Interestingly, 32 Card Poker is usually packed with low to medium stake players.
Soft Competition (10)

The competition is what makes Fat Bet Poker worth your time. According to our tests, this is one of the fishiest places on the internet, with ridiculously bad players even at higher stakes. Presumably, a lot of new poker players with deep pockets find their way to this site.
Sign Up Bonus (10)

Fat Bet Poker and EveryPoker.com have teamed up to offer a very generous sign up bonus of €1500 with a 100% match. In other words, you are required to deposit €1500 or more to get the full bonus. The bonus is paid out in increments of €200. Every €1 requires 5 points, so you must accumulate 1000 points per bonus payout. Player's will have 60 days from the date of the first deposit to claim the full bonus amount of €1,000, after which the unclaimed bonus is forfeited. For more information, please visit our
Fat Bet Poker bonus code site.
Loyalty Rewards (6)

Fat Bet Poker offers a frequent points system, which basically gives you 5 FPP:s for every €1 you rake in. Such points can later be used for tournaments and freeroll entries.
Promotions (6)

As mentioned in the tournaments paragraph, Fat Bet Poker is mostly about smaller tournaments. This includes freerolls and multi table tournaments added every two hours. On Tuesdays, you play with stacks twice as big as they normally are. Wednesdays provide you with a €1500 freeroll, while Sundays provide you with a €1500 guaranteed tournament.
